Billy Idol rhythm guitarist Billy Morrison shed some light via Twitter on who may know about the Play My Birthday Billy Idol project this past weekend. Play My Birthday Billy Idol creator Michael Henrichsen of Bothell got a response from Morrison after many unanswered tweets over the past month.
When asked if he had heard of the Play My Birthday Billy Idol (@playmybirthday) project, Morrison (@billymorrison) responded…”Yes I have. Beyond my control or paygrade I’m afraid! Good luck.”
Several hours later, Henrichsen asked Morrison via Twitter if Billy Idol, Steve Stevens (Idol’s lead guitarist) or anyone else in the camp knew about the project, Morrison responded…”People are aware.”
According to Henrichsen’s press release: “We now have some light and can assume that people within Idol’s management are aware of the Play My Birthday Billy Idol project, which adds more intrigue into Idol’s late October tour dates booked in California. Idol booked an Oct. 18 date in San Diego, Calif., just four days before the Oct. 22 day where the project is hopeful to culminate.”
