The Inglemoor High School girls basketball team defeated Newport, 53-34, on Friday in Kenmore.

Inglemoor took a four-point first quarter lead and methodically added to that lead as the game went on.

The team was led by Kennedy Nicholas with 17 points, while Viking teammates Hannah Shimek finished with 11 points and Ifeoma Emkea had 10 points.
