The University of Washington, Bothell began classes Wednesday. To commemorate the start of the 2011-2012 academic year, the campus is hosting a week of events including convocation, academic workshops and student receptions.
With the recent addition of on-campus housing for 240 students, UW-Bothell now has a permanent, 24-hour residential community. According to UW-Bothell Chancellor Kenyon Chan, “Husky Village, our student residential complex, is full, and the campus is more vibrant than ever.”
University officials are expecting another record-setting enrollment, which will be confirmed when the school releases its complete fall-quarter statistics in early October.
