Amanda Potts is on board as Inglemoor High’s new girls soccer coach and she’s excited to see what this season brings for the Vikings.
“We have a great group of girls who have come in with a great attitude and competitive spirit to each practice,” she said. “The returners and senior leaders have set the bar, and I believe the new girls are pushing that standard every day.”
There’s plenty of senior leaders along with junior midfielder Alma Mana’o and some talented sophomores who will be in the starting lineup, according to Potts. The seniors are Kelsey Clement (goalkeeper/midfielder), Jenny Duran (goalkeeper), Sarah Speed (defender), Kim Robertson (defender/midfielder), Jo Engreitz (midfielder), Kirsten Sabin (midfielder/forward), Carly Brooke (midfielder) and Katie Hungerford (midfielder/forward).
“The goal is to be a more unified group working together JV/varsity for the common goal of being better players each time they step off the field,” Potts said.
