The Bothell boys basketball team will get one more shot at Garfield – and it is a big one.

The Cougars will play the Bulldogs for the third time this season on Thursday during the first round of the state tournament at the Tacoma Dome.

The game is part of the Hardwood Classic and will tipoff at 10:30 a.m.

Bothell has lost both of its games played against Garfield this season. The Cougars lost their second game of the season to the Bulldogs Jan. 22 in Seattle, 86-71.

Garfield then took the 4A KingCo tournament title by defeating Bothell, 93-69, behind a big game from Tucker Haymond, who scored 39 points on Feb. 15.

The opening game of the state tournament pits the No. 1 team in the state, the Bulldogs, against the No. 3 team, the Cougars.
