A group of four Bothell boys entered the Spokane Hoopfest basketball tournament and brought home the championship in their 10-team bracket on June 27 and 28.
Canyon Park Junior High students Jake Hamaker, Kyle O’Shields, Colin Fisherkeller and Erik Bainter played as the “B-Town Boys” and defeated “Curry Up and Shoot” during the finals.
Spokane Hoopfest is the largest outdoor 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world with more than 24,000 players participating. This year players endured the 105 degree temperatures on the streets of Spokane, Wash.
