Kenmore residents Nigel Herbig and Patrick O’Brien held an early lead Tuesday night in the first returns of the primary election for Kenmore City Council position 4 to replace Deputy Mayor Bob Hensel.
Herbig, who received Hensel’s endorsement, has 46 percent of the vote, according to King County Elections. O’Brien is in second place with 32 percent and Charles Crouch has 21 percent of the vote. The top two candidates will move on to the general election in November for the position.
The election will be certified on Aug. 20. The Reporter will update election results as they are released.
