Fire Marshal Denny Wright, who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and had been undergoing treatment, passed away Nov. 15 due to unexpected complications.
On Dec. 2, his memorial procession consisted of about 15 police vehicles, two fire engines and family members. It began at about 10:15 a.m. from the downtown Bothell firehouse and proceeded to the Lakeview Cemetery in Seattle. At 2 p.m., three more engines arrived at Eastside Foursquare Church in Bothell for another memorial gathering.
Wright was related to the original Seattle Denny family, and was interred at the Denny family plot at Lakeview.
