The Snohomish County Medical Examiner has identified the Lynnwood woman who was found dead in her home last Saturday as 47-year-old Cristy Ann Larsen, who worked at Bothell’s Canyon Park Albertson’s store, according to employees.

At 1:22 p.m. Saturday, Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies entered the residence in the 1700 block of 215th Street Southwest in Lynnwood to check on Larsen after store employees called police, according to Lt. Kathi Lang in a press release.

After conducting an autopsy on Monday, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner said the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds and has been ruled a homicide.

Along with the autopsy, the manner and cause of death and information detectives gathered, they have arrested the victim’s 49-year-old husband, who is not being named because he his not charged. He is being treated at a Seattle hospital after Edmonds Police, Aid and Fire found him drifting in and out of consciousness last Friday evening in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, which was blocking the off ramp of state routes 104 and 99, the press release stated.

When the Edmonds Police Department impounded the vehicle, they found a handgun in the vehicle and booked it for safekeeping.

A deputy was later dispatched to a home in the 1700 block of 215th Street Southwest in Lynnwood Friday night for a public-assist call at the hospital’s request to attempt contact with the adult male’s next of kin. (A premise history check at this residence showed a disturbance from 2001 on file.) The house was dark, and the windows were covered with curtains. The deputy knocked at the door, several windows and on the side of the house, but did not receive any response.

After a check of the same residence on Saturday, investigators connected the deceased female with the Edmonds Police Department call on Friday.

Detectives from the Sheriffs Office Major Crimes Unit are investigating the incident.
