Patricia Blanche Hanley Bond was born in Sedro Woolley, Washington, on April 20th, 1925, to Howard Freeman Hanley and wife Velma Blanche (Grisham) Hanley. She died January 6th, 2021, in Everett, Washington. In the late 1930’s Pat met her future husband, Larry Boyde Bond, in Tacoma but returned to Seattle to graduate from Queen Anne High School in 1943. After graduation she re-met Larry while attending the University of Washington and they were married August 11th, 1945, in Seattle. After their marriage, Pat worked at Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Company (PNB) until shortly before the birth of son, William Boyde “Bill” Bond in 1950—afterwards becoming a “stay at home” mom. When son Bill was older, Pat returned to PNB where she was a service representative and eventually became a member of the PNB “Pioneers.” In 1973, Larry was given the opportunity to work in Kathmandu, Nepal, for the U.S. Agency for International Development. where Pat and he spent two of the best years of their lives. Pat and Larry retired to their acreage in Woodinville in the early 1980’s and enjoyed extensive travel and retirement for 30 years. Pat was pre-deceased by her parents and by husband Larry in 2007. She is survived by son Bill (Patricia), 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren: Neal Andrew (wife Barbara and sons Wyatt and Kyle), Nathan Gregory (wife Courtney and daughter Lyla), Matthew Boyde (wife Sammy, sons Dylan and Aiden and daughter Sage) and Rhiannon Jennifer (husband Josh Glover). Pat will be remembered as one of the kindest and most giving persons one could ever know. It was a privilege to be a family member or one of her friends. A memorial service will be held at Solie Funeral Home, 3301 Colby Avenue, Everett, WA 98201 at 1:30pm on Sunday, January 17th. Reception for family will follow.
