King County Elections released preliminary election results around 8:15 p.m., Nov. 5. Of 15,047 registered voters in Kenmore, 24.44 percent returned their ballots, or 3,677.

Four Kenmore City Council positions were up for grabs.

Councilmember Milton Curtis, who currently holds Pos. 3, and Mayor David Baker, who holds Pos. 5, ran unopposed. Curtis received 2,353 (96.95 percent) votes; Baker garnered 2,443 (97.68 percent), according to preliminary results.

For Pos. 1, Melanie O’Cain garnered 53.7 percent (1,743) of the vote, while Suzanne Greathouse received 45.75 percent (1,485) of the vote, according to preliminary results.

About 3,246 people voted for this position.

For Pos. 7, Corina Pfeil received 56.51 percent (1,809) of the vote, while Van Sperry gathered 43.05 percent (1,378) of the vote, according to preliminary results.

About 3,201 people voted for this position.

Ballots were due by 8 p.m. Tuesday. Final results will become certified Nov. 26.
