Bothell accident causes partial East Riverside Drive closure

East Riverside Drive at 109th Avenue Northeast in Bothell is closed due to an accident last night. A vehicle hit a power pole, shearing it off, and leaving wires hanging across the road. Puget Sound Energy has repaired the electrical lines, and the road will reopen once Comcast and Frontier repair their lines. However, it could be several more hours.

At post time, there are no outlets south of the Sammamish River once drivers cross the bridge from downtown Bothell at 102nd Avenue Northeast.  Drivers are advised to use alternate routes such as Interstate 405 to access places such as the Cedar Park Christian School.

108th Avenue Northeast/112th Place Northeast between East Riverside Drive and Northeast 164th Place is still closed due to a fallen tree and power lines, which occurred last week.

“Please do not drive through barricades — they are there for your safety,” reads a city press release.
