March 5

Theft: At 6:39 p.m. in the 22600 block of Bothell-Everett Highway, an unidentified suspect, at the Canyon Park Rite Aid, stole approximately $300 worth of printer ink cartridges before they fled in a white Dodge sedan, with a spotlight. Officers were provided a CD-R containing photos taken from security footage. The subject in the photos was not recognized and the case was closed.

March 6

Return scheme: At 5:43 p.m. in the 18300 block of 120th Avenue Northeast, a subject inside Home Depot selected a Dremel tool from aisle 20 and then walked up to the register to return it. After making the return, the male selected a Gerber machete from aisle 8 and attempted to purchase it with the in-store credit that he just received from his return. When the subject was confronted, he took off on foot. Police caught the suspect and he was booked at Lynnwood Jail.

Forgery: At 8:20 p.m. in the 21000 block of Bothell-Everett Highway, a victim met up with a suspect to sell a laptop for $100. The suspect gave the subject a $100 bill that later was found to be counterfeit. The transaction took place in the Fred Meyer parking lot. The case was forwarded to the Bothell Prosecutor’s Office for filing.

March 9

Plates stolen: At 1:33 p.m. in the 1600 block of 228th Street Southeast, a subject reported that someone stole their license plate from behind their vehicle. There were no suspect or witness leads. The vehicle was shortly after sold.
