JEFFREY DAVID MCMAHON

Jeffrey David McMahon, 70 was born December 19, 1947, and passed away peacefully on November 24, 2018 at 1st Choice Adult Family Home in Bothell. Jeff was a sweet, kind soul whose impact on his family and friends is a legacy to be remembered.

Jeff was the youngest member of a family with deep seeded roots in the Woodinville and surrounding areas. Jeff’s parents, John & Helen McMahon, along with his entire family have been active local community participants spanning nearly 100 years. The family farm on Hollywood Hill has been an icon for that entire time.

Jeff was the family farm manager his entire career. He was both the muscle and mind that kept the farm operations running smoothly. He cared for all the numerous animals over the years, including horses, cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, geese and peacocks. Maintained all the building structures and endless farm projects. Rain or shine you could find Jeff outside on a tractor or other equipment making improvements to the farm.

His passion and joy came from anything automobile related. He collected and restored countless cars, including his prize possession, a 1972 Ford Pinto, fully restored to original condition. This passion coupled with an incredible memory meant he could recite every vehicle ever owned by his entire family. And he cherished any trip to the junkyard in search of treasures to apply his mechanical skills. In between projects, you could find him building another addition to his model car collection, which is far too large to count.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen, along with his brothers Johnny and Jim. He is survived by his sister Diane, aunt Edith, 6 nieces, 7 nephews, several great-nieces/nephews and several cousins.

A Family & Friends Celebration of Jeff’s beautiful life will be held in March to include a graveside ceremony at the historic Woodinville Cemetery followed by a gathering in his memory. Memorials in his name can be directed to Northwest Center – celebrating people of all abilities.
