Police respond to PetSmart unauthorized purchase | Police Blotter

Dec. 25

Vehicle prowl: At 7:39 p.m. at 22615 1st Drive SE, a caller reported his vehicle, a red 2018 Ford F150, had been invaded. The car was left unlocked and the victim found his items had been tossed around inside, but didn’t think anything was missing. No damage was done to the vehicle. Later, the victim said he believed either $5 or $10 had been stolen. There were no witnesses.

Car crash: At 9:15 p.m. in the 18600 block of 120th Avenue NE, officers responded to a report of a vehicle collision. The vehicle, a Cadillac, crashed into a barrier and flipped over. Two male subjects got out of the vehicle. Both denied involvement in the collision. The officer reported he could smell intoxicants coming from one of the persons. The driver and passenger were both taken into custody.

Undisturbed gifts: At 11:32 p.m. at 23812 3rd Ave. SE, officers responded to reports of a possible vehicle prowl. An on-site man told officers a Dodge Ram pickup truck that belonged to his son-in-law, visiting him for Christmas, had its dome light on. When he investigated the car, he noticed the door was wide open. Christmas presents inside were undisturbed.

Dec. 26

Copper thief: At 11 a.m. at 24308 23rd Ave. SE, officers were dispatched to the scene of a potential copper theft. The construction site was for T-Mobile. When workers arrived at the scene that day, they noticed a “ground plate” was missing and the wires going to and from it were cut. There were no other missing items or damages. The objects were valued at around $200-$250 to replace.

Dec. 27

Identity theft: At 11:22 a.m. at 17502 102nd Ave. NE 214, a caller discovered an unknown person in California had made an unauthorized purchase at Petsmart.com using her Bank of America VISA card. The transaction amount was $879.98.
