Bastyr University’s 2015 Commencement will be held Monday, June 22, at Benaroya Hall in Seattle.
The 34th annual commencement will award students of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in naturopathic medicine, acupuncture and Oriental medicine, nutrition, exercise and wellness sciences, herbal sciences, health psychology and midwifery, as well as certificate programs.
Maxine Hayes, MD, Washington State health officer from 2000 to her retirement in 2014 and recipient of the 2010 Bastyr University Mission Award, will lead the commencement as the principal speaker. Dr. Hayes is also a former member of the Bastyr University Board of Trustees.
The event starts at 1 p.m. and ends at 3 p.m.
This will be the last commencement overseen by Bastyr University President David Church prior his retirement and the the new president, Charles ‘Mac’ Powell, PhD, takes over the presidency in July.
