The Inglemoor high baseball team, playing on the road, unleashed a 16-hit attack on the Ballard Beavers on Thursday afternoon in a 9-2 4A Kingco Crown division victory.
Senior Connor Savage and junior Perry Pipkin each had three hits to pace the Vikings. Senior Emmett Maki pitched a gem, going five strong innings and giving up just two hits.
Seniors Peter Meuisi and Adam Mosebar both homered in the winning effort, with Mosebar notching a game-high four RBIs.
With the win, the Vikings improved to 1-1 in league play and 3-2 overall.
Big fifth powers Bothell to victory
Playing against Woodinville on Thursday night at home, the Cougars’ offense took some time to get going, but it was worth the wait as Bothell won 5-2.
Facing a 2-0 deficit in the fifth inning, Bothell’s bats came alive for five runs, powered by Sam Lee’s two-run home run in the inning as well as a two-RBI base knock by senior Brian McAfee.
Senior southpaw Kevin McShane was the winning pitcher, with Henry Baillargeon surviving a bases-loaded, one-out jam to earn the save.
Bothell’s victory put them at the top of the early league standings at 2-0 in divisional play and 4-1 overall.
Tosaya leads Northshore lacrosse past Lake Washington
Northshore’s Drew Tosaya netted four goals and delivered four assists to lead the way in a 15-9 Division I win over Lake Washington on Thursday at LW in Kirkland.
Foster Wisman added five goals and an assist and Kevin Luo made four saves in goal as Northshore improved to 2-1-0 on the year.
Inglemoor golfers beat Ballard
The Viking girls’ golf team overcame a solid round by Ballard’s No. 1 player to post a 279-305 team win at the hilly Jackson Park Golf Course on Thursday afternoon.
Ballard’s Dianna Fhyue ran away with medalist honors with a score of 48, but Rachel Orhenschall and Ellie Tillotson fired rounds of 53 to pace the Vikings, with Cathy Bronson adding a 55.
