The Northshore Senior Center will host a community gathering titled “What is the role of a senior center in the community?” from 7-8:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at Alexa’s Cafe, 10115 Main St., Bothell.

Topics of discussion:

• How could the skills, knowledge and relationships of seniors be used to

meet the needs of the community in new ways?

• Who is going to care for our elders and their families as the senior

population in Northshore skyrockets over the next 10 years?

• Are you part of the “sandwich generation” caring for both your parents and kids?
