A single-car collision over the weekend in Bothell resulted in the death of a 20-year-old woman.

Hannah Rising of Mukilteo died after her car veered off the road while traveling northbound on Interstate 405, just north of Northeast 195th Street.

Trooper Rick Johnson of the Washington State Patrol said they do not know when the collision occurred but Rising’s vehicle was reported found at 7:26 p.m. on Sunday.

According to a WSP report, the car had struck a tree after traveling through about 150 feet of brush. The vehicle was not visible from the road. Rising was reported dead at the scene and transported to the King County medical examiner’s office.

The medical examiner’s office determined that she died from blunt force injuries to the head.

Rising had been reported missing after she had not arrived home late Saturday night, early Sunday morning. She was the only one in the vehicle at the time of the collision, Johnson said.
