The Northwest Driftwood Artists are holding their 51st Annual Driftwood Show on May 17 and 18th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The juried show features over 100 driftwood sculptures, which are finished using the LuRon Method. A unique piece of wood is cleaned, scraped and sanded, burnished and then waxed to a fine finish. Each artist spends hundreds of hours transforming their found wood into fine pieces of art.
The event is free. Besides the main show there will be a raffle, demonstrations, class sign-ups. and additional displays.
There will also be bare driftwood and small tools for sale.
