MOSA opens ‘Inner Reflections of Autism’ exhibit

To mark April as being Autism Awareness Month, the Museum of Special Art (MOSA) in Bothell has opened its “Inner Reflections of Autism” exhibit.

The colorful and inspiring works of art, done by a variety of artists, reflect the beauty, joy and voice of autism. The pieces display self-expression through painting, drawing and photography.

California-based artist Mia Mantegna, who is one of the featured artists, was in attendance at the opening for the exhibit earlier this month. Mantegna, who has autism, is known for her work in oil pastel painting.

Other artists whose work is on display include Rey Daoed, Matthew James, Amberly Parker, Peter Randall, Nathan Runge, Oscar Sanchez, Forrest Sargent and Matt Whittaker.

The exhibit is open to the public through June 30 at MOSA, which is located at the back of the Country Village Shops complex next to the Rosewood Room.
