The Cedar Park Christian baseball team survived Granite Falls in extra innings on Monday, beating the Tigers 5-4 at Marymoor Park to keep the team’s undefeated season alive.
The Eagles (7-0, 4-0 in Cascade) tied the contest in the bottom of the seventh inning to force the game into extra play. Sophomore Michael Doyle led off the eighth inning with a double and scored the game’s winning run.
Luke Lampe was 2-for-3 at the plate for Cedar Park Christian, swinging for a double and two RBI, while teammate George Reidy was 2-for-4 and batted in a run. Pitcher Grant Gilmore picked up the victory from the mound.
The Eagles were coming off a 25-6 romp over Kings High (0-7, 0-4) on Friday, a game in which senior Josiah Sergeant homered and tallied four RBI.
Cedar Park Christian will face off again with Granite Falls (3-2, 2-2) at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Granite Falls High School.
