My husband and I so appreciate Catherine Krummey’s article on Shelton View Forest in last week’s Reporter. We are now in our 80s and have been walking through this forest since the 1960s. Just us, then with our children and now grand children. All of them have learned to love the outdoors and are better for it.
I wish I could remember all of their moments of discovery, their questions and the talks we had as we walked. The trail is great exercise, though we are now using a slower pace. We invite all Bothell residents to discover and explore this forest. It really makes you feel like you are in the wilderness and far from traffic and concerns of the day.
Let’s preserve this forest as a place to think, listen, breathe deeply and see things outside our walls and cubicles.
