I read with great interest the agreement with Bothell and McMenamins to restore and repurpose the W.A. Anderson School. Bothell has definitely secured a wonderful redevelopment effort from a superior Northwest company.
In the future, as I quaff a refreshing ale in Bothell and drop my tax dollars there, I will look forward to reports on the alternate plans in the minds of our Kenmore City Council for an equally wonderful proposition for the seminary. I assume there must be some development in the offing since such a seemingly good offer from McMenamins was so cleverly thwarted.
I sincerely hope that the Environmental Learning Center once mentioned for this site does not only involve intense study of slime molds, mosses, lichens, liverworts, Norway rats, Carpenter ants and dry rot as we all watch the slow and progressive decay of the seminary buildings.
Unfortunately, it seems Kenmore’s only hope for St. Edward Park may be re-annexation by Bothell.
