The season came to an end for the Inglemoor High softball team with a 5-1 loss to Redmond in the first round of the 4A KingCo softball tournament on Monday at Inglemoor High School.
The Vikings (15-6) swept Redmond in league play, winning 18-4 and 13-8, but fell behind by five runs and only managed two hits against Redmond on Monday.
Inglemoor’s lone score came in the bottom of the fourth inning, when Kendall Levy scored an RBI single from Teagan McDonald.
Mackenzie DeKay pitched a complete game, allowing seven hits and striking out seven batters.
Sophia Viola and Kiara Robinson-Milloy combined to allow two hits for Redmond the Mustangs, who are scheduled to play Woodinville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17 in the KingCo semifinals at Inglemoor High School.
Monday marked the final game in an Inglemoor uniform for seniors Maleah Woodley, Ashley Gregory, Maddy Garcia, Talia Starr, and McDonald, as well as captains Michelle Fusco and Sophia Swain
Fusco has committed to play at Bellevue College, while Swain has committed to Loyola University in Chicago.
