The Bothell High School girls softball team fell behind early to Issaquah Thursday but never gave up and smacked the ball around to complete an 11-8 comeback win at home.
Issaquah jumped out to a 5-0 lead during the top o the third inning. But Bothell battled back with three runs of its own during the bottom of the inning. The Eagles put another run on the board during the top of the fifth but the Cougars once again scored three runs during the bottom of the inning, this time to tie the game at 6-6.
But Bothell was not done, scoring four runs during the bottom of the sixth inning and hold on for the victory.
Megan Morino led the Bothell offense, going 6-for-6, with two doubles and six RBI. Both Hanna Tyndall and Alex Farmer collected two hits and two RBI each. Janell Martin picked up the win for Bothell with six innings pitched, three earned runs and four strikeouts.
