The Northshore Rotary Club, with its main sponsor, Banner Bank, held its 20th annual auction Oct. 23 at Bothell’s Country Village.
The funds raised will allow the organization to continue its history of providing many worthwhile community service projects such as: Northshore Scholarship Foundation, providing $160,000 in scholarships to students in the Northshore School District; Santa Breakfast/Warm Coats; Rotary First Harvest; Youth Exchange Student Program; the Adopt-a-Road; Northshore Performing Arts Center; Northshore Little League ballfields; Hopelink; Joshua House; Rhododendron Park; Northshore Senior Center; and Polio Plus, the Rotary International project that is eradicating polio worldwide.
This year’s fund-an-item will go toward the Pete Morris Endowment, which will offer youths needing financial assistance the ability to attend YMCA summer programs.
The mission of Rotary International is to provide service to others, promote integrity and advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through its fellowship of business, professional and community leaders. For more information on how to get involved, call David Lukov at (206) 909-5336.
