The Bothell High School gymnastics team took third as a team during the 4A KingCo championship meet on Saturday, behind Woodinville (174.175) and Newport (166.85).
Bothell scored 163.4 points during the meet, which featured 11 KingCo teams from both the Crest and Crown divisions.
Bothell was led by Marquesa Dixon, who finished seventh in all-around with a score of 33.95. Dixon’s best individual event was the vault, where she finished fifth with a score of 8.5.
Dixon also finished 10th on floor exercise with a score of 9.475, ninth on bars (7.55) and 12th on beam (8.425).
Cougar Julie Winters finished 10th overall in all-around with a score of 33.45. But her performance on vault catapulted her into the top ten in the all-around competition. She finished second overall on vault with a score of 9.15, just a half point away from first place.
Bothell’s Nikki Lamken finished 14th in all-around with a score of 32.225.
Cougar Julie Winters tied for sixth on floor exercise with a score of 9.5.
The gymnasts will compete at the district meet on Feb. 9 at Sammamish High School.
