The Bothell High School volleyball team lost to Newport Tuesday 3-1.

The Cougars began the match with a dismal 25-7 loss in game one but then rebounded to win game two 25-22. But it was all Knights from there, as Newport won the next two games and held Bothell to just 32 combined points.

The Cougars were led by Hailey Crane and Karly Ernster, who combined for 18 kills. Reese Laufasa finished with 24 assists.
