Inglemoor’s Amber Rose won the individual girls 4A district cross country championship on Monday at Sammamish State Park in Issaquah.

Rose won by 21 seconds, running the 5,000 meter course at Lake Sammamish State Park in a time of 18-minutes, nine-seconds.

“She set a personal best and ran the second fastest time in Inglemoor history,” said Inglemoor High School cross country coach Kelly Richards. The win also qualifies Rose for the state cross country championship meet in Pasco on Saturday.

Teammate Bailey Fjelstul also qualified for state, placing 16th overall in 18:59.

On the boys side, Blake Slattengren placed 17th overall in a time of 16:08 and Nick Laccinole placed 25th overall 16:150. Both boys qualified for state.

The district meet was supposed to take place on Saturday, but was postponed due to high winds and falling branches at Lincoln Park over the weekend.
