The Inglemoor High fastpitch team got a taste of one of the top pitchers in the state last Friday, as Notre Dame-bound senior Allison Rhodes shut down the visiting Vikings in a nonleague game last Friday afternoon at Juanita High School.
Rhodes fanned eight of the first nine batters the first time through the lineup, going the distance and striking out 11 in total.
With the loss, the Vikings dropped to 1-2 on the season and continue their non-league schedule tomorrow against Mount Si at home, weather permitting.

The Cedar Park Christian boys’ soccer team was shut out by Seattle Academy 3-0 on Monday afternoon at home in a 1A Emerald City League matchup. The Eagles dropped to 3-2 on the season including a 1-2 mark in league play.
Also in soccer, the Bothell boys play cross-town rival Inglemoor tonight at Pop Keeney, starting at 7:3- p.m.
