Local brewers and wine makers delivered their tastiest concoctions to the 2013 Washington State Fair. One of the winners is from Bothell. David Hobson placed third overall in the Robust Porter category.

The top three winners not only won the honor of champions, but their sipping delights are on display the entire Fair, Sept. 6-22.

The exhibitors traveled from all across the state to showcase their recipes in categories ranging from dark stout brews to fruity wines. First and second place winners took home a cash premium and a rosette: third-place winners were awarded a rosette. Judging is based on bouquet, aroma, appearance, flavor, body, drinkability, and overall impression.

The winning beer and wine is located in Evergreen Hall, which is sponsored by Marquis Spas.
