Bothell’s Marion to host Manos Unidas Peru event this Saturday

Celeste Marion, a 1998 Bothell High graduate and co-founder of Manos Unidas Peru, the first private school and nonprofit organization for children with disabilities in Cusco, Peru, will be hosting the first photo exhibition/house party/fund-raiser at her Bothell home at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13.

The night will be to unite a community of supporters from the Northwest and learn about the journey that Manos Unidas has been on and its success as an organization making deep-rooted social change.

Among the guests will be Bothell High special-education teacher Natalie Mosley, who volunteered with Manos Unidas this summer participating as a guest speaker at the First International Seminar for Autism in Cusco, organized by Manos Unidas and three other partner organizations. Other guests will be local occupational therapists, teachers and speech pathologists who also dedicated many volunteer hours this summer.

Peruvian appetizers and cocktails will be served and funds will be gathered to support scholarships for the students. This event is open to the public with an RSVP at: celeste@manosunidasperu.net or at (425) 408-2643.
