The city of Bothell will deck the halls with its annual Winterfest celebration Dec. 5.
The traditional holiday kick-off event starts at 5:30 p.m. with a children’s hay ride at the Park at Bothell Landing, 9919 N.E. 180th St.
There also will be visits with Santa in the Lytle House.
The lighting of the holiday tree is at 6:30 p.m., and tractor rides with Santa continue after the tree lighting until 7:30 p.m. Guests may get a family picture with Old St. Nick, but need to bring their own camera.
According to the city, additional entertainment will be provided by Radio Disney.
While the Winterfest event marks the official start of the city’s holiday celebration, Buy Bothell is a partnership program between the city and the Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce that promotes local buying and features various holiday events. Exclusive retail offers will be available to visitors at those free community events throughout December.
