EvergreenHealth has welcomed Daniel M. Zeitler, M.D., to EvergreenHealth’s Ear, Nose and Throat Care team. Dr. Zeitler is board certified in otolaryngology as well as otology and neurotology, which is medicine and surgery of the ear and skull base.
In his area of specialty, Zeitler is engaged in clinical and outcomes-based research, which has been featured at national and international meetings for professionals within the ear, nose and throat medical field. Zeitler is also involved in research investigating the use of cochlear implants for the treatment of single-sided deafness in children and adults as well as bilateral cochlear implantation in the elderly.

Zeitler has a history of service in his field both in the United States and abroad. While working in Colorado, he helped train medical students and residents at the state university, and he served as the Medical Director of the Listen Foundation in Denver, which helps provide auditory-verbal therapies to children with hearing loss.
Zeitler also serves on the American Academy of Otolaryngology’s Otology and Neurotology Education Committee, and he has volunteered abroad on several occasions, performing ear surgeries for residents in Uganda.
Originally from North Carolina, Zeitler graduated Magna Cum Laude in psychology and history from Northwestern University and earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed an otolaryngology residency at New York University and Bellevue Hospital where he gained experience in head and neck surgery. Zeitler also completed a two-year fellowship in otology, neurotology and skull base surgery at the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Medical Center.
