Arts of Kenmore is set to host several fun community events this summer:
– Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social
Build you own sundae as you enjoy the 1926 comedy film “For Heaven’s Sake” and Don Moore playing popular piano renditions from the Great American Songbook at the Kenmore Community Club this Sunday, May 29 at 2 p.m. The club is located at 7304 Northeast 175th Street in Kenmore.
Admission is $5 per person and please call 425-487-2302 as soon as possible to make reservations.
– Kenmore Heritage Society Playland Amusement Park
Enjoy a nostalgic visit to Playland, which ran from 1930 to 1961 in North Seattle near Bitter Lake as the precursor to the World’s Fair Fun Forest. Hosted by Vicki Stiles, director of the Shoreline Historical Museum, the event will be held Wednesday, June 1 at 7 p.m. at Kenmore Community Club.
– Juried Kenmore Art Show
The 13th annual Juried Kenmore Art Show will take place at Northlake Lutheran Church, 6620 Northeast 185th Street in Kenmore, from August 19-28.
Entries must be dropped off on August 12 at the church between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. with a completed prospectus form, which can be found at www.artsofkenmore.org under the “Kenmore Art Show” page.
