A rollover accident has been reported on Highway 522 in Bothell near the park and ride and La Belle Bean Espresso. Emergency crews are on the scene and traffic is moving in a westbound direction.

A woman in her 70’s was driving a red Toyota Camry eastbound on highway 522 when she crossed the ‘C’ Curb center divider near Kasner Way and the Bothell Park and Ride.

A white Hyundai was traveling westbound and saw the red Toyota early enough to steer off course to avoid a head on collision.

The Camry rolled onto its roof, hit a Waste management flatbed truck, and ended up on the passenger side paneling.

The 70 year-old woman was the only occupant of the Camry and it is unknown why the driver of the red Camry veered into oncoming traffic. She did sustain non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital by EMT’s.

There were no injuries reported from the Hyundai.

Highway 522 had been closed in both directions for cleanup for approximately an hour, but were reopened prior to main commuting traffic.
