Snohomish County Back Road Attractions is a new brochure highlighting “off the beaten track” scenic hikes, drives and ways to explore Snohomish County’s southeast rural roads in Sky Valley. Ideal for those who want to discover “the road less traveled” in the Puget Sound area, the new brochure is both downloadable online and available in print.

Published by the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau, Snohomish County Back Road Attractions features a total of 14 explorations under “Hikes & Trails,” “Climbing,” “Motorized Trails,” “Watersports” and “Points of Interest.” These range from Osprey Park and the Iron Goat Trail to Reiter Foothills Forest ORV Park, Old Cascade Highway, Spada Lake and Big Eddy State Park. “Points of Interest” highlight discoveries such as the tiny Wayside Chapel west of Sultan, free rides on the Great Northern & Cascade train at Skykomish and the Western Heritage Center in Monroe.

The new brochure also features annual, family-friendly events in the east Snohomish communities along Highway 2; these range fromfestivals, concerts, artist sales and garden shows to sporting events.

Print brochures are available at the Sky Valley Chamber/Visitor information Center in Sultan and one of the three Snohomish Visitor Information Centers located in the cities of Snohomish and Lynnwood and at the Future of Flight Aviation Center at Paine Field, Mukilteo.
