The Bothell High School girls basketball team earned its second in-league victory of the season Wednesday, beating Garfield 57-40.
The Cougars used a strong first half, in which the team outscored the Bulldogs 28-14, to cruise to the victory. Despite the large disparity of the first two quarters, Bothell scored more points during the second half, including 18 fourth-quarter points.
The Cougars were led by three players, Brenda Akoto (14 points), Randi Dixon (11 points) and Sharon Akoto (10 points).
Bothell is now 4-13 overall.
