Cascadia Community College and Bismarck State College in North Dakota recently signed an articulation agreement that provides an opportunity for students in Cascadia’s environmental technologies and sustainable practices program to easily pursue a bachelor’s degree at Bismarck.

This partnership is meant to meet a need in the energy industry for supervisors and managers.

Cascadia students who graduate with an associate in applied science degree in environmental technologies and sustainable practices can apply all their credits toward Bismarck’s bachelor of applied science degree in energy management, which is offered entirely online.

“The industry wants its employees to understand the whole process of energy efficiency,” says Cascadia Dean for Student Learning Ron Wheadon.

“Bismarck State College has a high-quality program that complements ours very well. Since it is an online program, our students can continue living and working here while pursuing a bachelor’s degree,” says Environmental Technologies and Sustainable Practices faculty Mel Oyler.
